Computer Safety Tips, How to Place a Credit Freeze on Your Account. Jeff Wilkinson, President, Sun City Summerlin Computer Club. A credit freeze is one of the most critical steps to protect yourself from identity thieves by opening credit accounts in your name. A freeze prohibits consumer credit reporting agencies from disclosing the contents of a credit report to any person requesting the data. Without that credit file, lenders generally will not extend credit to you ? or anyone claiming to be you.
Microsoft Backup Solutions. Bill James, VP, Computer Club of Oklahoma City. Windows backup solutions are built-in tools provided by Microsoft and are available on Windows 10 and 11. In this presentation, Bill will discuss and demonstrate the advantages of the built-in and how each one is suited to different needs, ranging from basic file backups to comprehensive system imaging and cloud-based backups.
