https://skylum.com/luminar-ai-b is commercial software for the photo editing enthusiasts. It can be used stand-alone or as a plug-in for
Adobe Photoshop and associated programs.
Unlike Adobe, Luminar AI does not work in
layers. Instead, it uses
masking to accomplish virtually the same thing.
Personally, I did not find creating a mask to be intuitive so when I managed to create a mask, I put together a short video, both as a memo-to-self and an aid to others.
