A new pop up in my yahoo mail "image8.pubmatic.com"

I did a search on deleting this pop up, but some of the cures look dicey to me. Any suggestions.

A safe way to begin would be:

1) Try to get rid of it by going to search and typing Windows Defender Security Center and opening it. Click Virus and do a scan.

2) Download the latest Malicious Software Removal Tool and run it.

If all else fails restore a previous system backup

I assume you were using web browser to check your mail and not a dedicated e-mail client.

While surfing for a deal on a MacBook Air for a friend I got this notice at the bottom of the web page using Windows 10/Internet Explorer. I then pasted the link into Firefox running in a virtual machine running Ubuntu 18.04.1. No popup occurred...
