« on: October 13, 2024, 07:14:02 PM »
Hello All
Here are my Notes from the SLO Bytes Photo Group Meeting of 10/13/2024
TOPIC: Learn and Share

Ralph Sutter opened the meeting sharing two articles from the Links Page of the Club's website
The first was Essential Reference Guide to Long Exposure Photography; https://www.slobytes.org/digital/documents/Essential%20Reference%20Guide%20to%20Long%20Exposure%20Photography.pdf
The second was Creating a Slideshow with ACDSeeStudio Ultimate 2024; https://youtu.be/F1X3UTDTbz0
Next, Ralph played his slideshow of Farm Days at the Arapaho Rose Alpaca Ranch; https://www.arapahorose.com/ in Redding, CA.  (Video at https://youtu.be/exg_miJ0AQg)  He later shared images showing low-light photography and focus stacking.

Alan Raul travelled to Pismo Beach and vicinity for shots of sunsets, sea caves and staircases.
Using layering, he embedded a small image inside a larger one and used On One Hdr ; https://www.on1.com/products/hdr for high dynamic range photos

Kaye Raul explored the slideshow creation abilities of Adobe Photoshop Beta 25.11.
Kaye showed a video that showed how to add snapping text from metadata and remove unwanted elements with the distraction tool.

John Waller
, having installed Adobe Photoshop Beta 25, used it to remove power lines, people and miscellaneous distractions, apparently calling upon artificial intelligence.

Stanford Brown shared slideshows created with Honeyview
The group learned that Honeyview has been updated and renamed Bandiview; https://sourceforge.net/projects/bandiview/

The topic for November 10th will be Transformations; Share Images Showing Change and Explain the Creative Process
The meeting will take place via Zoom beginning at 2:00 pm,
The last meeting of 2024 will take place on December 8th, 2024
