Adobe Flash Player
«

I have gotten several messages from Adobe and Microsoft announcing that the Adobe Flash Player will no longer be updated and distributed as of Dec. 31, 2020. However, I have not seen anything from Microsoft as to what will or should be done or if needed, to replace it with a different Flash Player type program. Does anyone know the answer to this?

That's correct... Adobe will stop supporting Flash at the end of the year.

You don't need to do anything. I assume MS will eliminate the "Adobe Flash settings" from the "Control Panel" at the end of the year. Good programmers have stopped using Flash some time ago because of the security holes in the protocol.

Should I remove the Flash program now with my program in the Control Panel, or wait until December? Or should I leave it in the computer?

You can not uninstall the Flash Player (safely) from Windows. I would just leave it as is and it will be taken care of by Microsoft.

MS KB4577586 when it comes in early 2021 will indeed take care of this. Here is the information from ZD Net.
