Configuring PhotoSync to Transfer Photos Wirelessly from Smartphone to PC

Hello All
When my smartphone was an iPhone X, I routinely used WiFi Photo Transfer; https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/wifi-photo-transfer/id380326191  to move images and videos from my iPhone to my PC.
I recently switched to an Android phone, specifically a Samsung Galaxy S22.  Sadly, Wi-Fi Photo Transfer is not compatible with Android devices.

After a long search, I discovered an Android app that transfers images to PCs, PhotoSync;

The app claims to work cross-platform;   https://www.photosync-app.com/home.html stating that it can transfer between Android or iPhone smart phones and computers running Windows, Apple OS and Linux.  I have not verified this claim.

It took me quite a while to set up PhotoSync.  You have to install the PhotoSync app on your smartphone and also install a companion program, PhotoSync Companion; https://www.photosync-app.com/downloads.html on your computer.
Initially, I couldn’t get the program to connect to my Windows 11 Pro computers.  I verified all of the settings in PhotoSync and made sure that the PCs and the Samsung S22 shared the same Wi-Fi network.  Still, the program failed to connect to any PC.

I finally solved the problem by changing Permissions on the PCs
Here is the process that I followed.

From the Start Menu of the PC, click on All apps
Scroll down to PhotoSync
Instead of opening that program, right click on it and then click on More/Open File Location
Once there, click on Properties/Security
You may see  your log in name listed.  If you do, click on Edit and make sure that your login name is still selected.  If your login name doesn’t appear, add it by clicking the Add button
In the Allow column, check Read and Write
Click Apply
Click OK

Once that you have made these changes, PhotoSync should work properly, allowing you to transfer media back and forth from your computer to your smartphone
