Although there is no date on this OS Pie Chart, it appears to be fairly recent.  Windows 2000 and Windows NT are on the key but are not shown on the chart. Otherwise, this can give you a fairly current idea about the overall percentage usage of the operating systems.

Microsoft cuts off Windows 10 support early for some PCs.

ZDNet - Ed Bott - http://www.zdnet.com/article/microsoft-blocks-windows-10-creators-update-on-some-pcs/  Some PCs that received a free upgrade to Windows 10 less than two years ago are now officially blocked from receiving future updates. A quoted cause for this: "because of a fundamental incompatibility between the PC hardware and the latest release of Windows 10".

Before the crash, I had posted a procedure whereby Windows 10 could be installed on a portable flashdrive. This is not the same article, but it does include Windows 10 in its array of compatible versions: (second paragraph down)

Copied and pasted from the article - "What Is Windows To Go?

Windows To Go allows you to install a fully-functional Windows 10/8.1/8 operating system onto an external hard drive or a USB flash drive. This makes your USB a portable Windows environment, similar to a Linux distro that is designed to run from a USB. With Windows To Go you can carry the live Windows system anywhere and use it on any computer."

It also includes Windows 8 and 8.1.  Some people are still on 8/8.1, although it makes much more sense to be up to Windows 10 by this time.

Towards the bottom of the article there is also a reference to WinToUSB, which clearly references various versions of Windows 10:  http://www.easyuefi.com/wintousb/

General Discussion / Re: Alan Raul - July 2, 2017 Meeting Notes

Alan, Is it possible that the streaming is live during the day and recorded playback at night? This is the first time that I have viewed the above three websites at night, as I thought there would be nothing to see in the darkness. I was quite surprised to see illuminated imagery. During the day, however, the Sun seems to be in approximate sync with the time, especially at sunset. Avila Beach is Surfline also. When you click to full screen, a brief message states that you are on Surfline.com.
