New ransomware attacks target your NAS devices, backup storage. Ransomware attacks targeting these devices have surged in recent months.

I seems to make sense to have your data backed up on at least two USB external hard drives, along with other sources. After a full backup, it might make sense to disconnect the hard drive when it isn't being backed up on.
