Title: Replacement Routers
Post by: Dave on February 16, 2022, 09:09:05 AM
Hi, all...  I've reached the point where I have a defective router and it's time to replace both with new ones.  One will be at each end of the house.

Any recommendations?  I see on How-To-Geek they like the TP-Link Archer AX3000, for about $115, versus several others $200 and up.

Thanks...

Hi Dave,
You indicate that you need two routers to cover the entire area.  I suggest that you look into a mesh router.  The advantage is that you only have one router, one password.  The mesh network configures itself automatically, handing off from one "router" (read satellite) to another.
I use a Netgear Orbi RBR 40 but there are numerous other capable mesh routers from different manufacturers.
