I backup my Favorites on a regular basis. Microsoft, in their wisdom, chose to put "Export Favorites" in a new location.
The most efficient way to backup your Edge Favorites is to export those to a HTML file, which you can import at a later date . . .
In edge, click the 3 dots at the top right of Edge, choose Favorites - Manage Favorites
On the resulting page, at the top, beside the 'Add a Folder' icon, click the 3 dots and choose 'Export Favorites'
