Hello All,
Being a poor typist, I always dread it when I have to communicate on-line via a Chat window. I wondered if I could use the Speech Recognition Tool built into Windows 10 (and before) to dictate into Chat.
Yes, I can. Just hold down the Windows key + h and Windows will launch the Speech Recognition Tool, inserting a transcript of your voice in any text box in which your cursor is located.
This assumes that your computer has a microphone installed. Most current laptops have a microphone built in. My desktop does not. However, I have a USB webcam attached and its microphone launches when I hit the Windows Key + h key combination.
While no speech recognition program is error free, they are all more accurate then my typing.
