PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS
Distro-Dive: Arch/Manjaro. We take another dive into one of the major Linux distributions this month. Alan German shares information about one of the founding "trees" of the Linux world, Arch. Some say this isn't for new Linux users, but others say it's the version all true Linux users should use (the key phrase you hear is: "by the way, I use Arch"). Alan will give us some insight into this distro that boasts that installing Arch means you really know the inner workings of Linux. Along with his presentation on Arch, Alan will also talk about Manjaro, a version of Arch that is much easier to use. Join Alan to find out why some people really like running Arch, and maybe why others want to stay far from it.
System Monitoring Tools for Linux. We've often heard in past Linux presentations where attendees say, "I can do this in Windows, can I do that in Linux?" One such area is system monitoring. And the answer is: "Of course, you can do that in Linux." Join John Kennedy as he shares several system monitoring tools for Linux, both graphically and via the terminal.
