General Discussion / How to avoid the Marathon and get to Sunday April 7th's SLO Bytes meeting!!
« on: March 31, 2013, 04:14:46 PM »
As some of you know, there is a major Marathon running in SLO on our next meeting date, April 7. It will close quite a number of streets until afternoon times. Here's a couple of ways to avoid the closures and still get to the IOOF Hall on Dana Street:
From the South: Get on Northbound 101 from any Southern entrance up to and including Madonna Road (though this area will be congested). Exit at Broad Street, turn right on Palm, left on Nipomo and right on Dana.
From the North: If you are coming in on 101, exit at Santa Rosa, take Santa Rosa South
to Palm, turn right, take Palm to Nipomo, left to Dana, and right to the Hall.
If you are just on the North side, just get down to Palm, right to Nipomo, left to Dana, and right to the Hall.
I cannot guarantee they won't change the closures. The above is based on their big ad in the Tribune. If anyone has figured a better way, or finds an error in my suggested routes, please Post it.
All closures appear to be done by 3:00 P.M. so you should be able to go home your usual way.
