Title: Malwarebytes Browser Extension
Post by: Alan J. Raul on March 04, 2019, 09:43:53 AM
The Malwarebytes Browser Extension is a free web extension which protects you from malware, scams, clickbait, and it also has advertising/tracker protection built-in.

It's available for the Chrome and Firefox web browser.

Hello All,
I use AdBlock for .... blocking ads.  This donationware is available at https://getadblock.com/.
Unlike AdBlock Plus, its pay to use sibling, the only cost for this browser extension is the amount that you opt to donate if you donate anything.

While it doesn't offer any of the other features of Malware Bytes, it does an excellent job of removing ads from your browsing experience.

Is there an Ad Block or equivalent that anyone can fully recommend for use with Windows 10 Internet Explorer? Or is there already one in Windows 10 that I just haven't found?

Hi Dick,
AdBlock has browser extensions for a wide variety of browsers running under many operating systems.
I use it in both Chrome and Firefox on all of my Windows 10 Pro machines.
Download from https://getadblock.com/
You may be offered a free trial of AdBlock Plus.  That is not what I use.  It's just AdBlock.

Ralph,
Thanks for the reply.  Unfortunately AdBlock does not work with my browser, Internet Explorer.  It does work with Edge, but I don't like Edge at all. I guess I'll just have to put up with the ads.
