Title: Non-Microsoft program updating
Post by: dick on July 16, 2017, 12:44:44 PM
In pre-Windows 10 days, on my old now junked desktop computer, I used to have a program that scanned my non-OS programs and advised me when they had an Update available. I no longer remember its name, or if perhaps it is no longer available. My memory is bad enough now that if it exists it would be helpful. Are you familiar with such a program, and if so, is it safe?
Thanks.

Alan suggested these to me:

https://patchmypc.net/ (https://patchmypc.net/)

https://www.lifewire.com/free-software-updater-programs-2625200 (https://www.lifewire.com/free-software-updater-programs-2625200)

He uses the first one when working on "unknown computers"
Thank you Alan
